ABOUT ME

Spiral. My DNA spirals on, using this brief vehicle of a body to witness and explore the depths of infinitude. My chakras turn and radiate, connecting me to that which is beyond my skin in ways my eyes do not see. My hoop spins and reminds me I am the center of this amazing holographic universe, just as everyone else is. Inward and outward, every breath is a journey, my feet simply follow suit.

Philosophy is good, but experience is better.

Interests

Practicing yoga is the only occupation that makes any sense to me. Yoga is union, and I endeavor to engage fully in whatever I am doing. There is magic in the mundane, and I try to experience the excitement of life that exists in everything, whether I am trekking to a remote waterfall in the Himalayas or simply watering my garden in Tennessee. I love to discover myself, which most often takes the form of practicing/teaching yoga, gardening, reading, and hooping. Traveling is a must, as I find one of the greatest forms of entertainment and personal growth emerge from simply finding a new reference point.

Music, Movies, and Books

Vonnegut, Simpsons, Ani top the lists. Additionally I enjoy reading sacred texts, literature of all nations, and investigative journalism. I love musicians that have developed a unique voice no matter what their genre. I appreciate TV for all it could have been, but not so much for what it is--I tend to stick to cartoons. I'm not big into movies, but I am always down to watch Baraka, I Heart Huckabees, and Wes Anderson and Cohen brother films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Breathing, blinking, beating. Anytime I stop to appreciate all my body does for me without the slightest effort...those are the most inspiring moments in my life. Yet, the inward journey is only half the story. Witnessing a solar eclipse from a Native American reservation in the desert, meeting an ascetic living in a tiny cave at the base of a waterfall 12,500' into the Himalayas, sunrise meditation and kirtan at an ashram in the Sierra Nevadas--these experiences have illuminated me. I've backpacked India, lived in Switzerland, and roadtripped just about all of the continental United States, and each outward adventure has ignited an inner revelation.

I teach Yoga, please let me share some of this ancient science with you. I also am interested in Astrology, Hooping, and Crystals. I have a beginner's knowledge of all. Come share whatever knowledge you have acquired with me--all stored information finds expression eventually...
