ABOUT ME

That's funny really. How can I write all about myself if I still don't know myself thoroughly?:)
I'll try at least.
Countless people dream about quitting their jobs to travel. I was one of them. And last year, that’s exactly what I did: After years of disciplined saving, I left my job as an engineer. I'm currently preparing for my own RTW in a few months.
I've had an urge to travel my whole life and it feels so right to be finally doing it now. I'd love to meet new people enjoy their company and share secrets of the world over beers or coffee. I'm attempting many things at once, and achieveing them one at a time.
I honestly have no idea what adventures await me in 2021, but I can’t wait to find out.
And I am effing terrified!!

PHILOSOPHY

I've learned that it's easier to open your heart and trust than it is to live life suspicious of the world. When you treat people well, and with respect, they live up to that. In this vein, I've opened my home, my heart, and my life to people - and found life to be that much richer for it!

P.S. For all you new members and those who normally don't, please read "My Home" aka my WHOLE profile before contacting me. Thx!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If I can't travel to meet people, I can meet people who travel! :)

I used CS a great deal when I was travelling before I started working and thought - it was amazing!
Along with the great friends I made I had some amazing expereinces and would like to return the favour to other travellers.

Back from traveling for a couple months and feeling inspired to host again!
The best thing of CS is the feeling that someone is waiting for you and worrying about you in the other part of the world where may be you even haven't been before. Of course its not a way to travel like a freeloader. It's about "paying" just not with money but with energy, feelings, thoughts, may be some souvenirs or help.
The greatest thing which can ever happen is when CSers become real friends. And, yeeaah, I've got such friends! That's awesome!!!

I won't answer requests for a place to stay for free like its advertised nowadays unfortunatly and is completly beside my point of being a couchsurfer. To impersonal requests I might answer in different ways, depending on my mood: not at all, educational, polite or any state of pissed off. There is more to CS for me and I keep this profile up because I still find people share this feeling. My low reply % only shows, how many poor (if not shit) requests I'm getting, to which I can't be bothered to reply. n

***** I get 10+ requests per week, so I generally respond to women travelling alone, short stays and/or vegan folks.
Right now, my favorite sort of couch are English-speaking traveler ( will be great to refresh English for my big journey ).
I tend not to host people moving to Cologne *****

Interests

I jape and laugh every time I can:)
I have the spirit of a child in which I enjoy the simple things in life. I know that traveling is more about living than remaining isolated in the same comfort zone day by day. I push myself every day in hopes of growth and to strengthen our perspectives in life and that is what makes me truly happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

If I felt like I was writing too much in the other sections, then this one would definitely go on for too long :)
Good movies are visual stories, and the ones that I enjoy the most are films which provide insight into life. Some of my favorites are:
Into the Wild, Lost in translation,Mulholland drive,Hable con ella,Dogville.

If I were to say that books and movies open up my mind, I would have to say that music opens up my soul.
I'm such a music junkie!:D

I can respect all music as an expression of the artist and am constantly having my musical tastes shifted in different directions.
I'm deeply in love with techno.

With books,I usually prefer the classics - books like
"1984" / George Orwell
"Die Welt als Wille und Vorstellung" / Arthur Schopenhauer
Siddhartha / Hesse

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm...so many! I'm so lucky to live my life the way I do and be able to make regularly amazing experiences.

Most important probably is finding the true passion of my life - Techno.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach German and Russian language and also I can give advice's about how you can do the best plan for traveling throughout Russia, Mexico, Canada, Asia.
I also can help get started with learning web design and stay on track.
If you're going to build your own house I can help you with statical calculation :)
My diet is mostly vegan, and I can recommend options for vegan, healthy food, etc.

Looking for somebody to help me to learn DJing & music production.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share food, shower, some travel tips and if I have time I can walk with you and show around Cologne.
I can also share a bike. Just ask :)
