ABOUT ME

Hi there!

I've been described as Witty, Acerbic, Intelligent, Intellectual, Gothy, Strange, Unusual, Funny, Humorous, Kind, Generous, Open-Hearted, Friendly, Amazing, Tender, and I have an unusual - somewhat "old-world" sense of Style.

I am well educated, but I'm always hungry to learn more. I've traveled around the world a bit, but there is so much that I haven't seen yet.

I do my best to be Honorable and behave as a good ambassador of Humanity.

I've never been called "dull" or "uninteresting."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My recent ex-girlfriend, turned me on to Couch Surfing. We traveled Europe using CS and we've hosted a few in San Francisco area. Now that I am single I am re-engaging in CS on my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far I have stayed at a couple of different places that my ex girlfriend found on CouchSurfing.org and it has been wonderful. I never knew this existed before and it is such a great resource. I have enjoyed meeting people who have international interests. The kindness and hospitality has been almost overwhelming.

Previously all of my CS bookings were through my girlfriend. Now that I am traveling solo, I am reengaging with my own profile.

Interests

I am interested in Travel.
I want to travel to every country and meet people of every culture. I study psychology, sociology, culture, anthropology and cross-cultural religions.
I teach on subjects related to these and a few other areas of interest.
Where all those subjects meet, we have relationships of all kinds.
I teach and offer coaching for relationships of all kinds, including the relationship you have with yourself.

I love to "people watch" (or as I sometimes call it: "Field Observations"). I LOVE to see how people live and learn about what is important to different people all around the world.

I believe that no matter where we come from, no matter how different we all are, that Everyone is all alike. We all have the same needs: connection, shelter, food, etc. but we have different strategies to care for our needs.

I am interested in learning how you are just like me. But I am also interested in learning how we are different.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to movies and books I like Science Fiction, Science Fact, Philosophy, Religions, Religious History, Local/Regional History, Fantasy, Mythology, etc.

Favorite movies include: The Dark Crystal, Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back (and the rest of SW), most Stanley Kubrick.

I also enjoy video games, but who has time for that when you're traveling the world?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen and done so many amazing things. Life is a precious gift and this world is an AMAZING place to explore. Just ask me about my life and my experiences and I'll regale you with stories, some of which will bring a tear to your eye, some will make you laugh, and some will make you think, and some will make your brain hurt. I have no idea how to sum that up any better than I just did, and I cannot pick the best moments out of all of the wonder that I have seen.
To quote a friend, though these words are literally true for me as well:

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher. I teach relationship coaching/counseling, sacred sexuality, and personal growth path(s).
I also study and can illuminate subjects regarding:
Psychology, Neurobiology, Behavior Studies
Sociology
Spirituality
Cross Cultural Religion and regional practices

I am eager to learn anything about the above subjects, and your personal beliefs, practices and regional politics.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a grand story teller.
I packed some fun card games.
I love to cook *
* Depending where you are, I may need help finding local ingredients and familiar utensils. But I can usually work with what I've got.

I can provide some basic life coaching and / or relationship counseling. But please understand that deeper work takes time, and my visit with you might only be a night or two.
