About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to engage my fear of the unknown and experience the miraculous beauty of things first hand.

ABOUT ME

I'm a highly-intuitive, extremely eloquent, witty, funny, sometimes charming, incredibly honest, mystic sort of guy with an ivy league education that I've never used and, a strong desire to know the truth about things and a tendency to challenge people to look and laugh at the assumptions they make about the world they live in. I don't smoke or drink or eat animals, but I neither encourage nor discourage others from any of those things.

PHILOSOPHY

Current: Stop looking for greatness and give someone a hug.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A few years ago, I surfed for three months straight on the West Coast of the US before settling down in California. Now I'm embarking on a road trip and excited to be couchsurfing again.

Interests

I'm a writer (primarily of literary novels and short fiction, some of which has been published in literary journals), a standup comedian (note: if you get some well-behaved friends together, I'd be happy to put on a show), and an intuitive dream interpreter (I'll interpret any dreams you have while I'm staying with you or even ones you have had in the past). Most of what I do is aimed at fostering love and wonder and reducing suffering and the illusions that cause suffering.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was younger, I decided to become a house music composer. I had zero experience making electronic music, but I went out and bought the equipment I needed and started to teach myself. Six months later, one of my favorite DJs in the world played some of the music I made on his radio show in London, starting a short-lived but successful career as a house music producer.
