ABOUT ME

That I am enthusiastic, divergent, spontaneous and with a love of life. I need stimulation, love meeting people, I am non judgemental and try to see life from other people's perspectives. I am willing to give experiences a go, and would rather give 'What if?' a chance than live with 'I wish..' Although I am nearly 60, I can still turn cartwheels, have represented the island at 7 different sports and am definitely a get up and go kind of person.

Interests

I am creative and enjoy learning new skills. I make 80% of my own clothes, love gardening as an antidote to teaching, and often wander around with my ipod because I love a wide variety of music and enjoy being able to match my mood.I always have a book by my side usually political or crime thriller or historical novel.Whilst not being able to paint, I'm interested in art and when travelling love to visit galleries or local crafts. I'm sensual in the true sense of the word, in that I love smells, sights, sense of touch, taste, sound and movement; despite living on my own, I have a passion for cooking and love experimenting, playing around with colour, texture, blending flavours and using fresh, quality, seasonal products. Being a lifelong tomboy, I love sports and have a good knowledge of football (both soccer and American), rugby, tennis, cricket and enjoy watching dance and gymnastics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailing in a gale force 8 off an island in December, broaching and having a near death experience... but so much better than queueing for a Disney or Alton Towers ride. Navigating off path in zero visibility in the Dark Peak district and finding my way reliant on compass alone. Seeing the Parthenon but wishing I could do it at midnight without any tourists. Viewing Niagara Falls.
