I'm an idea man, I thrive off enthusiasm. I'll suggest scenarios and I usually have the best time when people are enjoying themselves too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted once and it was an amazing time. I've also met people through the site and was invited to a couple of picnics. Couchsurfers has helped me meet new people from all over the world.

Interests

I enjoy having new experiences. I will try almost anything once just to be able to say that I've done it. Seeing the sights, interacting with people from other countries, experiencing life in small towns.

Music, Movies, and Books

---Books
Harry Potter. Now wait, I know. Kind of mainstream and some would say that I'm not trying hard enough but listen. I was born at the perfect time to relate to these books. The first book came out when I was 8 (making Harry 11) and, thanks to the gaps between books, I turned 18 just before the last book came out. I grew up alongside Harry Potter. When he was going through his angst teenage years, I was going through my teenage angst years. And we both achieved our promised lands in the summer of 2007. That is why I will forever love Harry Potter (and forgive the movies for not being that good)

Anything by Mitch Albom. That man has a way of telling an amazing story.

---Music
I love rap. Wait, wait, wait. I know, I know. I meant good rap. I like the older ones like Run DMC, KRS-One, Biggie and Tupac. I like Jay-Z, not so much for his raps (although some of them are good) but for his overall presence. Mostly Kaye's older stuff before he went insane. All of Lupe's stuff, mix tapes and albums. Eminem is amazing.

I CAN'T STAND Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Soulja Boy and any of those type of rappers. Yes, I will be one of those old guys that yells at the kids on the street to, "TURN THAT GARBAGE DOWN!"

I also like other types of music. Classical (partial to Bach), country (a trip to Tennessee changed my mind and Rock (Elvis to rock and roll to punk to anything else). As long as the lyrics speak to me.

---Movies
I enjoy action and adventure. The story matters more to me than the effects. Comedies are my favorite, romance if I'm bored. I am convinced that Wimbledon is one of the greatest romance movies ever made.

I know they didn't ask but I'm leaving something for TV shows. If you have never watched it, I highly recommend watching "Firefly" a tv show by Joss Whedon. They cancelled it because the network were morons but it is the greatest 14 episodes you will ever see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thunderstorm at sea. Lightning hitting the water is an amazing sight to see.

The first time I was able to see all of the stars. I was 20 and I was able to get away from the city for the first time.
