ABOUT ME

Hey there, I am a California girl living in the wild state of Maine! I am a writer, activist, and traveler. I love to read, go out and see live music, and be out on outdoor adventures. Long nights with good music, great company, and philosophical conversations = a perfect night. I love meeting fellow travelers. I am eager to travel to every country and share stories and experiences with people from around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just couch surfed thus far and have met up with incredible people all around South America and parts of the Middle East. I currently do not have a couch open, but I am happy to meet up and show people around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed all around South America and have also used the site to meet up with people while traveling. I met up with some people in Buenos Aires, Argentina for couch surfing and then I ended up sharing a house with them. All of my experiences have been amazing and full of incredible people.

Interests

Everything - mainly literature, art, and travel! I enjoy being a part of creative community projects. I love the outdoors - hiking, backpacking, rafting, canoeing, and rock climbing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently reading a collection of poems by Roberto Bolano. I just finished Freedom by Jonathan Franzen. Upside Down by Eduardo Galeano inspired me. My favorite book is The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolano and I really enjoyed reading Hopscotch by Julio Cortazar. I enjoy a bit of everything. If I had to pick a few movies I would say Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep, and L'Auberge Espagnole. I can go out any night to listen to live music...folk, roots, indie rock, electronic, blues, and reggae.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to Italy and studying in the piazza where Dante would read sections of The Inferno.

Getting lost in the forest with friends in Killarney, Ireland where we stumbled upon a castle in the rain.

Camping on the edge of a canyon in Oman and waking up to the sunrise.

All that is the beauty of South America!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to do an exchange of skills. I have been learning to play blues guitar and would love some help with any instrument really. Music is life! In exchange I can teach outdoor skills like survival and rock climbing. Also, I can teach you how to build/fix a bike. Anything art related too! Just ask me :)
