About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding new adventures daily

ABOUT ME

I am comfortable to be around with great insight and a passion to learn. I enjoy experiencing life with people from cultures from around the world. I have great respect for community service and helping others less fortunate. I enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, especially to support causes benefiting community service agencies.

PHILOSOPHY

When in doubt, freak 'em out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by encouraging others to live life to the fullest and providing guidance as often as possible. I expect to open my home up soon and intend to enjoy the hospitality of others across the globe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I grew up couchsurfing! Opening my house up to fellow couchsurfers will be a great pleasure. I have yet to hit the road, but anticipate some awesome journeys ahead.

Interests

I spend my time studying cultures from around the world. Reading takes me on adventures around the world and through time. Social injustice gets my attention, I believe in human rights around the world including equal rights for women, gays/lesbians, and socio-economically disadvantaged.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Jawbreaker, Eyes Wide Open.

Music: Kruder and Dorfmeister, Everything But The Girl, Thievery Corporation, Telepopmusik, Scissor Sisters, Bliss, Conjure One, Zero 7 and lots more.

Books: Dune series, The Last Czar, My Queer War, The Romanian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode with a group of over 100 cyclists on a 330 mile trek to raise money for HIV/AIDS. It changed my life. I was involved in protest marches in San Francisco against war in the Middle East and against the Reagan administration for its blind approach to AIDS crisis.

Teach, Learn, Share

I started out as a drug/alcohol counselor to help people overcome their addictive habits, but then I found out it was all about what makes people who they are and now my job is to provide them the ability to choose positive or negative, happy or sad. My goal is to learn what makes you tick and how we can use that to jump start others.
