ABOUT ME

Fun-loving musician and naturalist type interested in doing and dreaming and doing some more, yoga, trekking, rock climbing, swimming in the sea, strange ethereal music, tea, extended morning brunches, street performance, organic sounds in hidden grottos and hushed concert halls, really good homecrafted beer and wine.

I play Turkish bowed tanbur (yaylı tanbur) as well as a few other instruments. I'm relaunching my website soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been using couchsurfing since 2008 and plan on continuing. I had a wonderful and eye-opening time living in New Zealand recently, and it will always be a home for me, but I'm off again to Labyrinth Musical Workshops in Houdetsi, Crete. After that, I plan to visit friends in Turkey and look for a job there! Perhaps I can host again if I settle for a time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had loads of experience surfing and hosting other travellers with beautiful Tawny (see Tawny's profile: http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/fmlcuppid/) but I just got around to creating my very own profile instead of a shared one. This website has facilitated countless life changing experiences and meetings with remarkable people for me.

Interests

Music (obviously), Trekking, Rock Climbing (beginner atm), People(there are so many amazing, weird, crazy, mad, creative, astute, genius, wizardly, kind, genuine, people in the world!) Summoned a black viper by playing bowed tanbur on the stage of the amphitheatre in the ruins of Aphrodisias, Turkey.
