About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Become an anthropologist. Figure stuff out from there

ABOUT ME

My name is Christina. Currently a student who thought she wanted to be a diplomat but finally figured out she wants to be an anthropologist, general admirer of the world and trying to learn as much as I can about it and do what I can for it, hopefully through nerdy means.

I'm not the most talkative person around new people, but when I do start talking I alternate between speaking like an academic and the most offensive child who hasn't a clue she's being rude.

I asked a friend to describe me, and he said i was mind-boggling, which wasn't particularly helpful, so I hope this attempt was ok :)

PHILOSOPHY

Haven't figured out a reason for life or existence yet, but I'm not sure I need to. I try to have faith in people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now traveling much isn't really an option for me, so I'm going to start trying to become more active in the DC couchsurfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Don't really have any, yet, I've taken a while getting my toes wet :/

Music, Movies, and Books

I have recently become severely addicted to Doctor Who.
I'll typically listen to a pretty wide range of music, but I'm addicted to anything Latin. Reggaeton=crack.
I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter, old Disney movies, and anything by Mario Puzo.
I feel like anyone who's seen the movie My Life in Ruins understands my life. Really though. On a scale of 1 to Zorba, I am SuperGreek.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A friend told me I saved his life when I reminded him that he was important and mattered. Greatest experience to date.

Teach, Learn, Share

Areas where I have knowledge or experience include the Greek language/culture, making bacon constructions, Spanish, and b/w film photography.
As for what I want to learn, that's hard to pin down. I want to learn about everything!!

Countries I’ve Visited

Greece, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
