I am a pharmacist and consultant from Chicago doing my best to make a difference in the messed up world of US health care. When I'm not working I fill my free time to the brim with my pole dance training, social dancing, board games, and generally exploring Chicago as much as possible.

When I travel I always try to put myself into situations where I can meet people so I can keep growing as a person. Monuments, natural wonders, an delicious food are all great things to experience while traveling but for me it's the people that make the experience really special.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because it's a fantastic way for me to meet all sorts of people and see their country from a local's perspective.

Interests

Pole dancing is my main interest at the moment, because it combines strength, dance, coordination, and flexibility all in one amazing package. My other main hobbies is dance (bachata and salsa primarily but also swing, blues, and hiphop), capoeira, gymnastics, and rock climbing. When I'm not training I love to get outside for any kind of outdoor activity (hiking, canoeing/kayaking, etc) or play board games.

Books: song of ice and fire, dark tower series and any other stephen king, lord of the rings, harry potter, anything with a good story, Neil Gaimon (sandman, american gods)

TV: walking dead, game of thrones, firefly, arrested development, Avatar: the last airbender, Legend of Korra, Sherlock, how I met your mother, coupling, anime and others.

movies: Fearless,something with a good story, comedy, action, movies so bad they are funny (the room, troll 2), but I'm not picky

Music: jazz, salsa, bachata, power metal, pirate metal, classical, soundtracks, reggaeton, funk, soundtracks, and other stuff

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know a lot of different dances (bachata, blues, salsa, swing) and would be happy to teach or go out with anybody interested in doing so. I also have a punny sense of humor, which I will probably share whether you like it or not :)
