About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a curious person and I try to invest my energy in lots of different things...sometimes I can be a bit scatterbrained that way; my mind is often captured by several things at once. But I think it's a nice thing mostly.

I am a theater artist/filmmaker and educator. Theater for education and social change is very important to me!

I also identify as queer, which is a pretty big part of who I am and how I walk in the world. My friends are a big part of my life; they are very important to me, and I am always looking to seek new connections with interesting, exciting, and compassionate people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A few years ago I completed a 2-month trip traveling in Europe two years ago. It was a great and magical adventure! Although the way, I met some great people through couchsurfing, and it was a great way to share experiences, stories, skills and memories.

I am now living in New York City, and I want to return the Couchsurfing Karma by hosting folks! I think that traveling and travel culture is a magnificent thing, and I want to meet people who share similar interests, and who have perhaps more experience with travel than I do to share stories and tips.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While traveling in Europe last winter, I did some couchsurfing and absolutely loved it! I was treated very well by my hosts, who showed me around their cities and made me feel at home and welcome. I wish to return the favor by hosting folks and sharing my stories and experiences with them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the fall of 2009 I spent a semester studying on the island of Paros, Greece. While there, we took several short trips to beautiful and stunning locations. Santorini was absolutely breathtaking; watching the sunset over the Caldera, orange and pink light reflected off the white and blue houses, licking the most delicious gelato...

I was also very moved by Pamukkale, Turkey. Climbing the white rocks, bathing in the warm springs, more beautiful views....

And clubbing in Mykonos was also great!

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I'd love to teach: fun and weird theatre games that inspire social or political dialogue, Shakespeare stuff, english, queer/trans stuff, tarot card reading...

Things to learn: Languages! (I'm OKAY at French but I'd love some practice...Spanish, Italian), history, design, fashion/costume design.
