ABOUT ME

I'm a clever, articulate, outspoken, healthy, and nature-loving. I enjoy spending time with people of all ages and backgrounds, going for walks and biking. I've been traveling for 8 months now and want to stay put for awhile so I can study Spanish, make friends and experience what it's like to live in Colombia!

Soy inteligente, elocuente, abierto, sano, amante de la naturaleza. Me gusta pasar el tiempo con la gente de todas las edades y procedencias, salir a caminar y montar en bicicleta. He estado viajando por 8 meses y quiero quedarme aquí en Buca por un tiempo para poder estudiar español, hacer amigos y tener la experiencia de vivir en Colombia!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm traveling, so I'm honing my (already excellent) house-guest skills. I cook, I clean, I buy groceries. I'm game to help you do everything from weeding your garden to washing your cat : )

En este momento estoy de viaje, así que estoy perfeccionando mi (ya excelente) casa de habilidades: Cocino, limpio, y compro comestibles. Estoy feliz para ayudarle a hacer de todo, desde desmalezar su jardín para lavar su gato:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my couchsurfing-type experiences are from long,long ago when the meetings and invitations happened randomly and in person --at bus stations, beaches and pubs. I did quite a bit of it in my 20's and it was magical : ). In the more recent past I've hosted and been hosted by some fantastic people and what really strikes me as fabulous is how easy it can be to connect with people when you don't even speak much of the same languages.

La mayoría de mis experiencias de tipo couchsurfing son de mucho, mucho tiempo atrás, cuando las reuniones e invitaciones ocurrido al azar y en persona - en las estaciones de autobuses, playas y bares. Hice un poco de este en mis años 20 y fue mágico:). En el pasado más reciente que he alojado y fue acogido por algunas personas fantásticas y lo que realmente me parece fabuloso es lo fácil que puede ser para conectarse con la gente cuando ni siquiera se habla mucho de los mismos idiomas.

Interests

I can get interested in almost anything except bloodsports, cars, guns and ostentatious displays of wealth. Generally I'm inclined towards nature, walking, exploring, discussing, and having a good laugh . . . at just about anything, including myself!

Puedo interesarme en casi cualquier cosa excepto deportivas de sangre, automovils, armas y ostentación de la riqueza. En general, me siento inclinado hacia la naturaleza, caminar, explorar, discutir y tener una buena risa. . . en apenas alrededor de cualquier cosa, incluso a mí mismo!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up in a very small town on the west coast of Canada. My backyard was a marvel of nature. Bears, deer, racoons, eagles, etc. That's one kind of amazing. Another kind of amazing is crossing the Colombia/Venezuela border in an ancient Chevy crammed with 7 people and having it all go well ; )

Crecí en un pueblo muy pequeño en la costa oeste de Canadá. Mi patio era una maravilla de la naturaleza. Los osos, venados, mapaches, águilas, etc. Eso es una especie de increíble. Otro tipo de increíble es cruzar la frontera de Colombia / Venezuela en un antiguo Chevy repleta de 7 personas y tenerlo todo vaya bien;)

I can show you how to get that horrible label glue off of things. Eh? Who doesn't want to know how to do that!?
I would love to learn how to make webpages with Wordpress. If you can help me do that I'll clean your toilet ; ) Of course I also want to learn about Colombia and improve my Spanish.
