My mission is to live life to the fullest and experience as much of the world as I can before the zombie apocalypse.

I am a very easy-going, open, and honest person. I may be a little shy in new situations at times, but I am very nice, respectful, and enjoy meeting new people. My friends would also say that I am quirky, have a quick wit and a positive outlook on life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been off the CS grid for a few years, but I hope to be more active. If I can't host, I might be up for a cup of coffee or a stroll around town.

Interests

I am an avid lover of culture, travel, and trying new things. I love food and adventure, and travel any chance I get. I teach social studies at an inner city high school because I firmly believe education is the great leveler for disadvantaged youth. I love to laugh and listen to other peoples' stories, which is one of the reasons I am so fascinated with and excited to start using Couch Surfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love so many different kinds of movies, book and music that I could sit at the computer until my eyes bleed. To give you an idea, my 3 favorite movies are Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monsieur Verdoux, and Fight Club. I love graphic novels and historical nonfiction especially. Music, I love most everything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been blessed with so many amazing experiences that it would be hard to pick the best. One of my favorite travel stories is getting the opportunity to go to a real Egyptian wedding in Cairo. It was enormous and lively with food and music everywhere, and the locals were very kind and hospitable! Truly a unique and wonderful opportunity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a Las Vegas local, born and raised, so I know a lot about the city. I live in North Las Vegas, which is about 10 miles north of downtown and 20 miles north of the Strip.

I'll try as much as I can to show you around the city, but there may be times when I can't due to my busy teaching schedule...public transportation here is manageable, but not very great.
