ABOUT ME

In 2013 I travelled through South America. I left my job and my life in South Africa behind for this grand adventure. Nature, culture, people, exploring, walking, seeing, doing, writing ... Fiercely independent.

Now I'm back in South Africa and working in Johannesburg. I find this new place very exciting, work is good, but I am working on a 2.5 year plan to do it all again somewhere else :-)

I pride myself on being laid back (if I was any more relaxed I'd be standing on my head) and having a good (great?!) sense of humour. I am open minded to the max.

I'm also a passionate marine conservationist - the long term plan is to get involved with oceans!

I love music, reading, dancing, the environment, movies, diving, walking and laughing.

Have hosted at my place in Cape Town, but now I live in Joburg. I would be happy to meet up with CouchSurfers, work takes up most of my time these days though.

All of it! Favourite bands at the moment: Pearl Jam (always), Bon Iver, The National, Devotchka... But I love jazz and blues a lot. Books: Favourite of all time is The Neverending Story by Michael Ende; love Stephen King, John Irving, Paul Theroux, Ben Elton etc. Movies: Current obsessions are Into the Wild (of course :)), Memento, Gattaca is all-time favourite, Drive, Warrior etc.
