About Me

ABOUT ME

I would consider myself a vibrant, social and positive individual who works hard and likes to make the most out of any situation. I enjoy being around people, listening as well as sharing. As well as spending time with others I also enjoy the moments spent by myself. I am vegetarian, love hiking, yoga, music and writing. I hope to always live life to the fullest no matter what stage of life I'm in.

PHILOSOPHY

'The thought manifests as the word, the word manifests as the deed, the deed develops into Habit, and habit hardens into character, so watch the thought and it's way with care and let it spring to LoveT born out of concern for all beings, As the shadow Follows the body, as we think so we become.' The Buddha

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed during my trip through America in 2012 and had the time of my life! I met so many fantastic people who I will remember forever. I think when you go traverling it is important to do your best to immerse yourself in a culture and couchsurfing provides a great opportunity to do so.

Interests

I love action, adventure and being spontaneous but at the same time think there is nothing better then sharing a casual meal and drink with friends in a backyard. As long as your making the most of a situation i think anything can be enjoyable, it's all about your outlook! I loooovvvveeee the outdoors (mountains, beaches, waterfalls blow me away), I'm also into yoga, music, coffee, traverling (of course) and sustainable living.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies from all around the world, as long as it is interesting and creative. The film does not necessarily have to have a happy ending or a life changing lesson it just has to tell a story. Recently I watched a film called Trishna set in Ragasthan India. The film was beautiful to me as the director did a remarkable job at depicting the Indian way of life and portraying how difficult it was for the protagonist to adopt her English partners lifestyle.
I am currently reading a book called The Alchemist lent to me by a friend. The novel aims to teach readers lessons about finding ones self destiny. Other books such as The Power of Now, Eating Animals and Buddhism for busy people I also really like. Anything that encourages me to be aware of self I appreciate.
Music well I love, who doesn't. Live music I love even more! The best gigs I have been to are Portishead, Bon Iver, Kurt Ville and Jane Harris.
