ABOUT ME

my friends might describe me as easy going, non-judgmental, peaceful, happy, silly, adventurous, friendly, and spiritual. I am in love with mother earth and all she provides for humanity and I am eternally grateful for her forgiveness. I strive to love unconditionally each and every day of my life. I believe the true teachings of Jesus Christ are the most radical system of thought to hit this earth but I would not call my self a christian because I don't seek my spiritual answers though any sort of religious practice. I strive to love everyone and forgive everyone no mater what. i mean think about what this world would be like if everyone made that their daily goal. a lot of my time has been spent in search of ways to view the world in such a way that I can love unconditionally. change in this world starts at a local level. the most local place is my own mind. I have a tendency to be extremely lazy when I don't have anything to do. it is very hard for me to get myself to do more than I think I can get away with which usually comes back to bite me in the ass. but at least I know it about myself and am trying to change it.

PHILOSOPHY

the world is a reflection of the self. anything I see or directly experience out there is a direct reflection of some part of my soul.

I wrote this close to 10 years ago (its aug. 2021 now) and surprisingly (or maybe not so suprisingly) it holds true to who I am still so I'll leave it up. My profile says I'm Aaron Calhoun but since I have gotten married and my wife and I have chosen the last name of Ash so now I am Aaron Ash.

Intereses

I love NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) even though I am just starting to learn. it would take too long to describe here so if you are curious I encourage you to google search it. in a pinch NLP is like a manuel for your brain. I love to bike instead of drive. I actually have no idea how to drive maybe in the future I will. I play video games. I love nature and all things outside and out of the city. a lot of my time is spent thinking about how I can make this world a better place by making myself a better self. I love to dig holes and i can't really explain why cause I hate digging holes. I am not afraid to say that I still love to play with legos. I also love to play board games. settlers of catan, dominion or chess are my favorite games I can't decide which is the best though. usually I'm a good sport but if I am losing to someone I know really well all of a sudden I have a tendency to revert back to my five year old mind if i'm not actively in control of my emotions. its not a pretty sight.

books: a new earth by eckhart tolle, the light emerging by barbara anne brennan, illusions by richard bach, the wheel of time series by robert Jordan, Air born, those are just a few of the more recent books i have read.
movies/tv shows: parks and recreation, anything by haio miazaki especially ponyo and totoro, the matrix, LOTR, eternal sunshine of a spotless mind.

music: beats antique, balkan beat box, shpongle, keb mo, pink floyd (meddle is their best album), tom waits, Golgol bordello, deep forest, tracy chapman, any thing that sounds celtic especially celtic meddle and celtic electronica, enya, paul oakenfold, epica, muddy waters, miles davis, as you can see there is a wide range but usually I listen to blues, electronica, celtic, or ALL OF THEM MIXED TOGETHER!!!!

NLP, Some Gardening knowledge, some carpentry knowledge, some healing knowledge, lots of knowledge on how to play the board game settlers of catan. I would love to learn knowledge of the cooking variety although I do know how to cook the best burger I have ever eaten but I'm sure thats all my ego.
