About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Huntington Beach, CA or bust! I want to play some seriously competitive beach volleyball!

ABOUT ME

I strive to constantly learn and grow. Life is too short to stagnate. It is my ambition that continually propels me forward. Despite these traits, I make sure to take time to experience and enjoy my life's journey.

Most recently, and more specifically, I started an online business, so I'm finally able to work from anywhere. I'm taking this opportunity to see the country and the world!

My first major destination is Huntington Beach, CA. I'm leaving mid-July, taking my time, and hoping to arrive early September.

PHILOSOPHY

I only have one crack at this life, and I'm going to make the most of it even if I die trying. Everything I do is for the benefit of a wife I have yet to meet, and our children who are yet to be born.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am a Couch Surfer, but I look forward to being able to return the favors to future Couch Surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I am new to this community, I'm a Couch Surfing pro. Spending a lot of time living far away from family and friends has made me pretty adept at packing lightly for weekend, out-of-town visits.

My favorite CS experience was when I went to Australia for World Youth Day in 2008. The group with which I traveled was hosted by a school in the Sydney area. We slept on the classroom floors!

Interests

I seek out inspiration when and where ever I can. Be it the arts or personal development books, I'm constantly using the accomplishments of others as examples of what is possible for a human to achieve in a lifetime. Whether I'm working, reading, spending time with friends and family, or just watching a movie, I seek out activities that will help me achieve my life's goals.

Music, Movies, and Books

My media collection has recently been condensed to include only my favorites: The Matrix collection, This is Spinal Tap, Napoleon Dynamite, The Lost Highway Soundtrack, and Moby's I Like to Score. There are a few others mixed in, but those are the core. Currently reading A Game of Thrones, albeit slowly. Most of my reading is research on how to improve my business.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2001- After attending my first spiritual retreat in college, I returned to campus with a most unbelievable sense of peace and tranquility.

2008- Sneaking off to a private beach on the east coast of Australia in the middle of the night. I saw thousands of stars I had never seen before, or have seen since.

2011- Meeting the woman of my dreams. Unfortunately, the awe wore off when I realized I wasn't the man of her dreams, but still...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm building an online business which is allowing me to do more Couch Surfing. I'm not yet an expert at it, but am learning more each day. I would be happy to teach what I have learned to anyone who is interested.
