About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To wake up to what is here.
ABOUT ME
One half of a quiet British / Japanese couple living in rural Japan. I like a quiet life: a bit of gardening, a bit of cooking, a bit of meditation and some travel from time to time. My partner works locally for a vegetarian / organic food import company, so my cooking tends to be vegetarian.
PHILOSOPHY
Walk quietly across the world greeting that of God in everyone, George Fox.

Music, Movies, and Books
I learned to read through the SF novels of Andre Norton and so have a soft spot for SF and Fantasy. However, other authors I have liked range from Irish Murdoch to Banana Yoshimoto. I wrote the thesis for my religious studies degree on the interaction between the supernatural and families in Banana Yoshimoto's novels and short stories. Not much fiction right now as I have to get through the reading list for my Buddhism course.
For light relief (aka brain candy) I love NCIS - a bit of humour goes a long way.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed Mount Fuji at dawn - snow in July was a surprise but the cloudless morning a joy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to be able to show a few people some of the best of Japan - the quieter traditional side away from the plastic fantastic world of Tokyo.
