About Me

I'm building an off-grid tiny house in the beautiful high desert wilderness in Central Oregon. I spend the winter months working as a resident gardener for a butterfly garden in Monteverde Costa Rica. I value a good cup of coffee, quiet mornings, and fresh air. I'm happiest when I can spend most of my waking hours outdoors.

Fully vaccinated and boosted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently in need of a place to stay somewhere in the Bend/Tumalo area for the month of March in order to pursue a job offer - just until the snow has melted from my off-grid abode and I can resume building. :)

Interests

I'm attempting to create a space where people can stay to get off their various hamster wheels. I'm very interested in living sustainably, owning fewer possessions, and getting plenty of sunshine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I heard the Adhan I was in Shah Alam and it was one of the most breathtaking experiences of my life. The sound resonated all around me and mingled with the calls of tropical birds and the approaching rainstorm. Very intense. and so, so beautiful.

I also went skydiving over Mordor.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about plants, microgreens, off-grid life (solar set ups, building techniques), travel stories, English lessons (I'm a certified TEFL instructor), artwork.
