About Me

---ESPAÑOL---
¡Hola!

---ENGLISH---
Hey, thanks for reading this. I'm originally from Romania, and I spent almost half of my life abroad: 2 years in IT, 3 in NL, 1 in FR, 1 in BE, 2 in LUX and now 6 in the UK.

I work in finance (international development, the not for profit kind, don't think of investment banking, I'm not rich nor planning to be). I help develop the public infrastructure in eastern Europe (think roads, bridges, water pipes, city buses).

I'm taking a 7 months sabbatical to travel in Latin America. My provisional itinerary would be: México - Guatemala - Costa Rica - Colombia - Perú - Ecuador - Bolivia - Chile - Argentina.

My Spanish is rusty but I'd love to practice it with you, and explore together. See you soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My mission here on CouchSurfing is to meet people, not necessarily like-minded (since this won't help broaden my perspectives much), and exchange travel and living stories.

My experience on CouchSurfing included both traveling and hosting. I used the platform to travel a lot. I met fantastic people who taught me what sharing really means.

Interests

I'm interested in finding out what drives people in doing their jobs or hobbies. And also how they've grown emotionally over the years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiked 2,000km from Utrecht, NL to Timisoara, RO (5 days on the road after uni).
Backpacked for 3 weeks in Western Balkans one summer.
Did improv courses for 6 months in London.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't feel I'm in a position to teach anyone anything, as I'm learning myself. I'm happy to share my experience though, hoping that will contribute to someone else's understanding of things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my international experience and interests. I'm quite amateur when it comes to cooking, but I know a good wine when I see one, so I can help in that sector :)
