HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i've already travelled a lot and my favorite part about it are the inter personal experiences that come along with it. That's why i prefer to stay with a local person and exchange some ideas about life, instead of sitting alone in a hotel room.
I also like to take care of other people and am happy to welcome somebody at my place once in a while.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i slept on several couches of all colours and shapes so far, for instance a couple of years ago in NY and Portugal.
When i was still a poor broke student (yes i'm from Switzerland but no that doesn't mean that we are all rich;) ) i thought it's a great idea to share each others appartments and being able to come around the world without spending a fortune, but in the end i liked it so much that I continued travelling that way. Had only good experinces so far!

i love dancing - in clubs, on concerts, salsa, in the rain, on the street at 6am...
i love photography - especially analogue, eg. lomography, i have many different small and big cameras
i love water - sailing, swimming, surfing, or just sitting on a river/lake/ocean with a beer
i love travelling - everywhere, as far away as possible, get to know stories and histories from cultures all over the world
i love buildings - which is maybe not too bad cause i gonna be an architect, I like old buildings more than new ones
i love cities - as big and chaotic as possible, walking for hours alone through a city i don't know
i love the mountains - to have a great view, to be on top of the world, snowboard or ski, hiking

nights in the thar desert - never seen so many stars............
drive through chaotic dheli by car for the first time with loud indian music playing

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

i hate it to be a tourist in the common sense, means getting out of the bus, take a picture, stare at some famouse building and leave again. i rather like to visite places and cultures for a bit longer, stay with locals and adapt their way of living and thinking. so what ever anybody want's to share about their culture or themselves - language, cooking, traditions, history, hidden places, dances, music, .... i always enjoy to learn something new.
