ABOUT ME

I'm a happy independent traveller whether I'm exploring the world on my own or with my lovely partner, Ruth. I like to meet new people and find out about what its like to live in a place, not just what the good sites are - although they're good too see too, of course! I'm very open to new ideas and experiences and have a curious and enquiring mind. Generally I ask far to many questions but people trend to forgive me because I really do care to hear the answers :-)

Interests

I love wildlife and beautiful scenery and scrambling around on rocks. But I also like the shabby, dodgy spots in town! I like to have long evenings chatting over food and beer, with lively and interesting people, talking about everything from philosophy, politics and religion to silly stuff we saw on the internet.

The surreal moment whilst gazing in awe at the magnificent Rajasthan in Tashkent when Celine Dion's 'My Heat Will Go On' starts blasting full volume out of the on sire PA. Hysterical, absurd, banal but somehow kinda wonderful too!
