Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We surfed in so many couches when we traveled around the world and meeting local people made the difference in our trip. Before our trip, we only hosted one time, but are looking forward to hosting again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We enjoyed amazing couchsurfing experiences during our trip from the fall of 2012 to the fall of 2016. We enjoy meeting and conversing with other travelers and local people eveywhere we go. Couchsurfing made a difference in our trip around the world because it is the best way of learning about the culture of the places we visit and make amazing friends!

Interests

Traveling, backpacking, camping, hiking, scuba diving, snow boarding, meeting new people and learning new things, reading, planting, cooking, eating, going to concerts, watching movies and documentaries.

We love reading. Sal is always following the news. Gisela prefers reading fiction literature in Spanish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Backpacking Yomesite National Park, climing Clouds Rest and Half Dome in the same day ;)
- Getting our Scuba Diving certification in Belize and enjoying the underwater world in different destinations.
- Hiking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal.
- Traveling for almost 8 months overland through East Africa.
- WWOOFing in New Zealand, India, Japan, Tanzania, Ireland, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, and Honduras.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can share travel stories, laughs, and quality time. We speak English and Spanish fluently so we can practice these languages with our hosts if they are interested. We are always willing to learn as much as possible from other cultures and life experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can offer laughs, stories, respect, quality time, friendship, and hopefully some delicious meals.
