ABOUT ME
I recently came to the realization that I lost who I was at some point after leaving university. Now I'm trying my best to get my priorities back in order.
PHILOSOPHY
About a week ago, I thought I knew. Now I'm pretty sure I don't. I've realized that I don't particularly care about money, or professional success. Experiences are what matter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Looking to surf, or just meet new and interesting people.
Interests
Dinner and drinks with friends, places with interesting histories, people with interesting stories, cooking, live music, mountaineering, rock climbing, whitewater, most things outdoors, doing things the hard way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies:
I mostly watch documentaries. I also like most horror movies, psychological thrillers, and anything visually interesting (The Fall, Inception, etc) and movies that don't follow straightforward plots (Donnie Darko, Jacob's Ladder). Also anything super campy.
Music:
Arctic Monkeys, Augustana, Beck, The Black Keys, Boy and Bear, Built To Spill, The Dandy Warhols, The Decemberists, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Franz Ferdinand, The Mars Volta, Modest Mouse, Muse, Neon Trees, OK Go, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, Wilco. Lots of random other stuff.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I've got a M.S. in Geology, so if you wanna learn about rocks (or general natural science stuff) I'm your guy. I've also got a working knowledge of rock climbing/mountaineering gear, knots, techniques, etc. I tend to be full of random, interesting (according to me, at least) and fairly useless factoids.
