About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the world a more wonderfilled place!

ABOUT ME

My friends would say that I'm a jovial ginger adventurer, ponderer, and explorer. They wonder what the heck I do as I travel, take photos, share conversations of world embetterments, and encourage people to discover their strengths and passions, and rock out their awesomeness.

Basically I try to live each day well and hope to leave the world better than I found it ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Discover your strengths, rock out your awesomeness, share your life with the world, and then leave it better than you found it.

I strive to walk with authenticity which is therefore tempered with respect for those around me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fav. movies? Last of the Mohicans, Life Aquatic, The Animated Robin Hood, The Princess Bride, Encounters at the End of the World (Werner Herzog), Old School,

Music: I like so much! I think Graceland may be one of the best albums ever. I like classic rock, I like a lot of the new folk that's coming out these days, I'm a fan of grabbing a guitar and just singing or making up tunes with those around. I can appreciate the skill and craft, hardwork and fear tackling, that goes into making your own music so.. props to the people who dare to hit the record button ;)

Books: I <3 Books. Some of the most powerful and gutting moments in my life have come as a result of reading books. Epiphanies and more lurk between those pages. To name only a few would be a disservice, and it's so highly individual. Hooray for books! :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Shaking the hand of FW de Klerk, Nobel Peace Prize co-recipient with Nelson Mandela, when I was working in South Africa for a University program studying conflict resolution.

Standing on top of Volcan Acatenango in the clear middle of the night, while looking down on the lights of Antigua as Volcan Fuego erupts, after having gone to sleep under a tarp to stay out from underneath a thunderstorm.

Canoed down the Fraser River for World Rivers Day and managed to not only stay afloat, but moved forward against the greatest storm I've encountered on the water. Instense and awesome. The most Viking moment of my life thus far ;)
