About Me

I think I can describe myself as a friendly person, curious of the world and its different cultures and very funny once I feel confortable enough with people to start joking ! I care about a lot of things but I would say one of the most important ones is to find a way to be useful. As an architect, I'd like to use my skills my to help people and to support sustainability !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had my first CS experiences during my first trip on my own in New Zealand when I was 18 yo and I have been very impressed. People are so kind to open their houses.
I think CS is a better way to travel with the chance to really experience the countries you go to. Seing the places through the eyes of the local is the more authentic way to figure out what's going on here ! I've had the chance to do some things that I could never have done without meeting great CS people (like planting trees in NZ, going on a boat in Canada...).
And meeting people living different lives with different interests and sometimes priorities is such a great experience, which reminds me to stay open-minded !

Interests

I was studying art and am now an architect so that's two subjects I'm obviously very interested in. I love walking in cities to discover the way it is organized and the face of the local architecture, the differences between the places I've been to before, the buildings you see everywhere... I would like to spend more time drawing it but I am also in to photography so it's sometimes hard to choose between those two things I like to do.

I am also a huge fan of cinema : I like all kind of movies, even though I have a preference for non-Hollywood type movies with a end you can predict at the first second of the film...

I am also very found of outdoors, countryside and the sea. I grew up in the coast in Normandy and imagine my life away from the big cities. I go hiking with my family since I am a little girl, in the Pyrenees mountains and did some good hikes while traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping from a rock in the mountain rivers of the Pyrenees and feel the icy water take me.
Meeting maoris people in a university graduation ceremony...
Hiking in the canadian mountains and see bears from very close...
Doing crêpes with a nomad family in the steppes of Mongolia and making the men do the cooking !
Climbing a sand dune in Mongolia and feeling very happy to get on top because the suffering was worth it...

Teach, Learn, Share

I am curious of EVERYTHING ! I will love to learn anything that people can teach me, really.
I can share my little knowledge of the world and the recipe of my french crêpes ;-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good chats, good laughs (I love laughing !!!), a good meal (and a beer, maybe ?), a good party...
