Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hanging out with different CSers, such as movie night, concert night, and traveling(road trips) together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I surfed was in MIT. I was invited to surf. It was a great experience with JingXiao Lu!

The majority of the CSers I have met are super cool and easy going. I have learnt a lot and shared a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

TV show- The Big Bang Theory

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboard from double black diamond after 6 times because just wanted to cook some bacon on top of Alpine Meadow in North Tahoe.

Driving a manual car without stick shift but using screwdriver instead.

Raced triathlon with 5 stitches on my chin and finished in about 3 hours with one of the stitches poped open.

Seen kids play a great performance from Deaf and Blind school with all their spirits.

Teach, Learn, Share

A lot of people say that one will LEARN moving from one place to another. Totally agreed!! One thing I have LEARNt the most in the past year was to TEACH.

I don't remember how, but I am currently fully engaged with any kind of outreach and education. One of my tasks is to develop new methods for my students to LEARN. Did I say new methods? Yes!!! Not simply remember the material, but a method that can assist oneself to apply in different fields.

I don't like the idea of the traditional education, because it kills the innovative ideas. Being said, as SHAR(E)ing my methods, I LEARN how to TEACH.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am not fat, but I do like to eat!!!! Food cultures and places to go eat are always my top hit.
I am an athlete for a long time, but I don't flow professional sport that much, because I enjoy doing it. However, I can tell you stories of my 17 year crazy athletic career all day long.
Oh, I love science and engineering. SO these are the fields I can share the most. As I said, I love creating methods. Methods that I can convert and simplify the non-feasible materials from different fields to pieces of stories. I guess you don't want to miss the chance to listen these stories.
