About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Istanbul, moved around a little bit until I settled in Montreal. Currently, I am doing my PhD in clinical epidemiology and physiotherapy at Mcgill in Montreal. I got to host many couchsurfers when I was living alone in a huge apartment in Istanbul and I have been hosted by some couchsurfers when I have been travelling.
I used to work as a physiotherapist based in Europe, thereby I would travel frequently for work. Along the way I have met many very cool people.
Since I moved to North America in 2011, I never had chance to go back to Europe. Now, finally I am coming back to see 3/4 countries that I never saw before. Starting from Iceland for 4-5 days, then I am going to Hamburg for 1 day before Paris. I will be spending almost a week in Paris, then will head to Barcelona. I am so excited for my Europe trip. I truly belong to Europe and cannot wait to be there back again (even for a short term), and get to make new friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I completely believe in that community soul will beat capitalism one day. Couchsurfing is the modern version of caravansaries (or you can call it hostel). Also, I have a lot to share and more than a lot to learn from other, that is why I love couchsurfing and couchsurfers as it gives me chance to expand my horizons.
Interests
I love to learn from others and talk about their cultures/languages/lifestyles. I am not really a good cook but recently I have discovered vegan cuisine and I can make you one or two vegan meals if you would like to.
I also enjoy good wine and good music, mostly jazz or your local music.
I like partying once in a while, and I will probably would like to see the party scene in your city once I am there. If you can join me, that would be awesome, not a necessity though, no obligation.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am very into jazz music. My movie inventory, for no reasons, is quite weak. I will appreciate any recommendation for worth-watching movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Nordkapp, Norway to see the Aurora. It was an incredible experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I mentioned earlier, I really like learning other cultures/lifestyles/languages etc. Please fell free to talk to me about your local artists, movies, inspiring people.
I am also learning/improving my French, so it would be nice to get to practice some French.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As I said, I can make you some vegan food, or teach you English/Turkish if you needed. I will be having some Turkish coffee with me if you would like to taste.
