Hello! My name is Anya and it's my first try of Couchserfing experience.
I'm nice and funny person. Sometimes people even laugh at my jokes.
I work as a freelance illustrator at the moment and have some free time for travelling.
Actually, I love travelling.

Since my childhood we often changed cities with my family, so I was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, then lived for a short time in Wien and Moscow, then 17 years in Kherson, Ukraine, then moved to Germany and finally came to Saint Petersburg, Russia, and live here since June 2014.
I can't exactly say, what is my nationality, maybe it's something like 50% Russian, 25% Ukrainian, 25% Jewish.

I'm really excited when I have a chance to spend time with people of foreign cultures. It makes me feel like a World Citizen. Also I like to share information about cultures I know with other people and speak English with Russian accent.

I am peaceful and quiet person. I really respect personal space of other people. I don't drink hard alcohol, don't smoke, practice yoga. I'm sure that adventures make our lives brighter and longer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to try this new for me format of travelling. Many of my friends use Couchsurfing to make new friends and they are really excited about it. I don't meet hundreds of new people in my usual life, mostly I sit an home and draw, so maybe this new experience will open new sides of life for me.

Interests

I'm interested in illustration, design, animation and modern art.
I think, that art helps us to share emotions and thoughts with others.
It's a try to get out of your head and spread your thoughts everywhere.

Also I do yoga and sing mantras :). It helps me to feel less stress and in general be healthier.

Sometimes I like to make sketches and small paintings when I travel, so I can draw something for you, if you want.
