La misión de todos: vivir. Quiero reír y hacer reír. Conocer gente, hacer amigos mundialmente. Aprender y enseñar. Amar. Mi misión es ser feliz, volar y descubrir. No se olviden de las copas, claro.

ABOUT ME

Hice dos licenciaturas: una en Lingüística y otra en Literatura. Actualmente, estoy realizando una maestría en la Universidad de Puerto Rico en lingüística. Soy una escritora puertorriqueña, nacida en Mayagüez (pueblo que queda al oeste de la ínsula borinqueña, justo por donde se acuesta el sol). Estoy enamorada de mi isla, de mi cultura y de mi idioma. Me encanta la historia y aprender sobre otras culturas, filosofías y lenguas. Hablo Español, Inglés y ando tomando cursos de Alemán y francés. Soy amante del chocolate y los bizcochos. Me encanta la complejidad de la vida, los retos (claro, no voy a negar que a veces me ponen nerviosa)y lo imposible.
Soy extra-amigable, aunque un poco tímida. Me encanta hacer chistes y reír. La risa es el remedio infalible. Amo los animales pero detesto a los gatos y le tengo miedo a los gansos. Mi biografía en el primer libro donde fui publicada lee: << Domadora de palabras. Poeta de nacimiento.Habitante de un mundo utópico. Creadora de planetas incongruentes. Fiel creyente de las esdrújulas y amante de las íes griegas. "Cómo sería una vida sin palabras? ABURRIDA".>> Me encantan los sinónimos y aprender palabras raras.

At the moment I'm doing two bachelor's degrees at the University of Puerto Rico: one in Literature and the other one in Hispanic linguistics. I'm a Puertorrican freelance writer born in Mayagüez (a small town that is situated on the west side of the island, just the right place to see the sunset). I'm in love with my island, my culture and my language. I enjoy learning the history, philosophy, and tongue of other cultures. I speak Spanish and English and I'm learning German and French. I'm a Chocolate and Cakes lover. I love the complexity of life, the challenges -of course, I'm not going to deny that they make me nervous- and the impossible.
I'm extra-friendly, although a little shy. I love jokes and laughter. Laughter is the magic bullet. I love animals, but I detest cats and I'm scared to gooses. My biography in the first book I got published reads: << Words tamer. Poet from birth. Inhabitant of an utopian world. Creator of incongruous planets. Firm believer in the proparoxytones and the y's.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Vivo siempre con la prioridad de compartir y ayudar. Siempre teniendo en mente la sonrisa ajena. Vivo queriendo reír y hacer reír. CS me da la oportunidad de ayudar y ser ayudada; de sentirme parte de un mundo filántropo. Tan sólo escuchando, siendo escuchada o dando abrazos, ya me siento ayudada y ayudando.

I live always with the priority of sharing and helping. Always keeping in mind the smile of others. I live everyday with the will of laughing and making people laugh. CS gives me the opportunity to help and be helped. It gives me the chance of being part of a philanthropist world. Just by listening, being heard or giving hugs, one helps others and is being aided.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nunca he tenido una experiencia oficial con la página en sí, pero mi prima, antes de irse a estudiar a Alemania, abrió una cuenta en esta página e hizo un muy buen amigo que la dejó quedarse en su “sofá”-lo pongo entre comillas porque no sé si es literal- en lo que ella encontraba apartamento allá en Dortmund. Luego, el amigo vino a Puerto Rico y se quedó en mi sofá -esta vez sí es literal, porque en ese momento yo vivía en un estudio- durante tres días.

I´ve never had an official couchsurfing experience but, when my cousin went to Germany, she stayed in the couch of a friend she met on this page. Then the friend came to Puerto Rico and stayed in my couch for -like- three days.

Interests

Me encanta Viajar, Oir música, Conocer gente, Meditar, Hacer Amigos, Filosofar, Aprender. Mi pasión es escribir: La vida es pura poesía. Me encanta aprender palabras nuevas. Mi deporte favorito: Comer. Amo reír y hacer reír. He perdido mucho tiempo jugando en el Internet (pero no importa, seguiré perdiéndolo). Amo llenar Sudokus. Y creo que soy una de las pocas personas que se ha obsesionado con el juego "Minesweeper".

I love traveling, listening to music, Meeting new people, Meditating, Making Friends, Philosophize and learning. My passion Writing: Life is pure poetry. I love learning new words. My favorite sport: Eat. I love to laugh and make people laugh. I'm a profesional Time-waster: I waste a lot of time playing on the Internet (but it doesn't matter, I will continue wasting it: It's FUN). I love playing Sudoku. And I think I'm one of the few people who has become obsessed with the game "Minesweeper".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sólo tengo 22 años, todavía no he tenido la oportunidad de presenciar un milagro. Tan pronto lo experimente, les contaré todo sobre ello. ;-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn chinese and Korean! And to surf(but I'm a little scared to the ocean)and Sk8 (^_^). I want to bake and ride a motorcycle.

I don't have any special skill that I know of -maybe I can fly or throw spider's web from my wrist and I haven't notice it yet- but, I can teach Spanish to those who love this AWSOME language.
