About Me

*To avoid confusion: Two years ago when I decided to follow my dreams and live the way I want to, I changed my name to Kate Miller to leave my past behind. People who have known me for a long time still call me Brigitta (which is my official name), my new friends call me Kate.*

I was born and raised in Hungary, but I moved to Denmark when I was 19, and I've found my home here. I'm 22 now, and I live together with 5 cats and 2 dogs, who are my best friends. I spend most of my free time with them, and taking care of other dogs.
When I'm not dogsitting, I like reading, doing yoga or being with my friends. I don't have many close friends (besides the four-legged ones) but the few I have mean the world to me.
People often think I'm shy, because I don't always talk a lot, but when I meet like-minded people I can suddenly become very talkative. :-)
I'm very open-minded and empathetic. I love learning new things and evolve as a person.
I'm also very adventurous, and I love encouraging other people to live their lives to the fullest and to follow their hearts. I spent way too much time of my life living the way other people wanted me to, but now I'm free, spreading my wings, living my dreams and inspiring other people to do the same. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is great because the best way to get to know another culture is by staying with locals. I love meeting new people, and I have some wonderful and unforgettable experiences thanks to CS.
When I use CS I'm usually together with my mother and we use her account, that's why I don't have a lot of references here.
She lives in Hungary and she is way more active on CS than I am. I often don't have the time to travel or host because I'm busy working and studying at the same time.
I'm hoping that this will change in the future, I'd like to travel and to host people more often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In July 2015 I finally met the author of my favorite book, Heidi Sævareid, in Norway, after we had been writing to each other for half a year. It was a truly amazing moment!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you languages (I'm fluent in English, Danish, German and Hungarian), yoga (although I also have a lot to learn)
bad jokes,
how to tie knots (seriously! :P)

I'm eager to learn anything you would share with me. I especially love learning new languages (and to get a chance to practice Norwegian) and doing yoga.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like helping with housework, doing dishes, and of course, I'd always love to take care of your animals or take your dog for a walk. ;)

I like sharing stories about my life if you are interested in them, but I can stay quiet, too ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russian Federation, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In
