About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Going with the flow, while staying above the rising tide

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Craig (ENTJ/NBPC/RGLD)*
Illustrator, Industrial Designer, and odd-astrotraveling pseudo-philosopher.

Northern born, Southern bred, Midwest fed. Recent transplant to Chicago's Northside from Miami, FL and loving every minute of it. Have been a lot of moving around for the past 4 years, and every 6 months it seems, everything changes. College was already 2 years ago and pursuing my dream is becoming such a winding road. Also I have to realize I'm wading in this recession, as so many others are, so everyone's counting their blessings.

The six things I could never do without
1. The Earth
2. The Mind
3. The Body
4. The Soul
5. Conversation
6. Reciprocation

Let our mutual curiosity for the cool, strange, and interesting continue to bind us in the art we make together.

PHILOSOPHY

The meaning of life is to experience, so don't ever deny yourself the opportunity to try something at least once.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Througout Detroit, I've stayed with over a dozen friends and friends of friends, taking kind refuge on a couch or an empty space in an attic. Chasing the rising sun, I've become a neo-gypsy artist wanderlust, so-to-speak

I can trade any creative or work-labor for any immediate accommodation, clean up any communal area that I use or occupy, and provide my own food. I'm on also on Linkedin if references are needed and any help is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance and may your karmic actions bring you good fortune.
I travel light.

Interests

Loves in this life:
Meeting new people, listening to music (feel free to check out my music tastes on Last.fm), photography, illustration, drawing, cars, traveling the world, dreaming big, Apple, thinking of better days, adventure, the color Blue, video games, the simple things.

Music, Movies, and Books

“There never were in the world two opinions alike, no more than two hairs or two grains; the most universal quality is diversity”
- Michel de Montaigne

BOOKS: Science Fiction, History, Autobiographies, some favorites I love are:
"The Martian Chronicles", "The Time Machine", and "1984".
Years of art school has regurgitated its weight in design theory books and catalogs ALL over my room.

MOVIES: Action-Adventure, Comedy, and Horror movies, which I feel are really hilarious so I consider that's comedy too. Then the occasional dark, brooding, and random romantic foreign films.

MUSIC: Last.Fm
I listen to Madlib's beats wayyyy too much...
(love instrumentals and those who play them.)

Big fan of anything funk, soul, jazz, classic motown, and alternative hip hop.

**More bass please, African rhythms and Samba beats need more**
