Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a literature student, so I feel pretentious putting down any books or movies here - but I love Philip Pullman, Murakami, Neil Gaiman, Angela Carter, JK Rowling, Agatha Christie, Ann Brashares, to name a few.

I'm currently a journalist in Hong Kong and will be going to law school next year. I listen to everything under the sun, although my favourite genres are alternative/dreampop/shoegaze/post-rock. I love Warpaint, Sigur Ros, DIIV, Franz Ferdinand, God is an Astronaut, Sonic Youth, Slowdive, Lush, The Raveonettes, Joy Division... and your typical stuff like Nirvana, Beatles, Pink Floyd etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Having a gun pointed at me while I was hiking up a forbidden hill with my friends at 4am in izmir, Turkey. The same man then invited us up onto the hilltop for breakfast.
2. Jumping into the Aegean Sea from the second deck of my cruise.
3. Sleeping on top of a roof at a hostel across the Aya Sofia and being awoken by muslim prayer every morning.
