About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have always been told earth was as round as an orange...now is the time to find out

ABOUT ME

I guess people would say I am quite talkative and enthusiastic; I would rather say that I am very curious and passionate. I love asking questions about things I don't know and particulary enjoy when people see things in a different way that I do - discussions usually get lively when I am around, but always in a cheerful way!

PHILOSOPHY

He not busy being born is busy dying

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am really new to CS and I am willing to participate to the experience by meeting other people at their couch, or at my couch, or near this green couch at the pub; meeting fellow travelers and giving a hand when I'm back to Paris sound very exciting plans to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couchsurfing since August 2012 and have so far:
- stayed 3 nights in Washington DC on a huge house
- slept 3 nights in Lynchburg area (Virginia) for 3 different epic stories
- stayed a week in a farm in North Carolina
- stayed 2 nights at a CS Ambassador in Memphis (Tennessee)
- surfed 3 nights with an awesome couple in Lafayette (Louisiana)
- stayed 1 week with 2 different couchsurfers in New Orleans (NOLA is awesome!!!)
- surfed 4 nights in Guadalajaja, (Jalisco), Mexico with an script writer and 3 nights in Colima near pacific coast with an sculptor!!
- slept 1 week with 2 AWESOME couchsurfers in Mexico City!!

Interests

My resume says sports (soccer), chess and litterature. All of this is true, but I'd rather say;
- listening to rock/folk music (anything from Bob Dylan or the Rolling Stones, but we can pretty much talk about anyone having an harmonica nearby)
- talking to random people in bars (I kicked that one from my resume but this might be the thing I'm the better at)
- and if you're up for it, I would be very happy talking about how the political and institutional system works in France and try to understand how it works in your country. But I don't want to force anyone!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: "Pulp Fiction" (and anything Tarantino) for the esthetics, musics, and absudity of all it all, "Kingdom of Heaven" because the Director's cut version is awesome and "In Bruges" because it's my favorite movie.

Music: Blonde on Blonde (Bob Dylan), Let it bleed (The Rolling Stones), Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd). Don't worry, a lot of recent stuff as well (Arcade Fire !) but I do like my oldies.

Books: Bukowsky ("Factotum" made me laugh and cry so much), Hemingway ("For whom the bell tolls", I have to admit I am quite fascinated by the Spanish Civil War), Camus ("The Stranger" and the musical version of it by the Cure)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am about to start a 9 months around the world trip... we'll talk about it at the end of it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not sure of what I can teach - how to play chess? how to spell this word in French? How to look like a parisian while you're in Paris?

Not sure I already know what I want to learn - I guess most of the learning process is spontaneous for me. However, a few harmonica keys and advice would be a great thing to have!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Jordan, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, United Kingdom, United States
