About Me

I grew up in a small town in Texas then attended college in San Antonio. During college I studied abroad in Amman, Jordan, where I got to see much of the Middle East. It's an amazing experience to really leave the "West" and be immersed in a completely different culture. After graduating, I moved to Washington D.C. for a summer then to Silicon Valley. Shortly after that I moved to San Francisco where I lived out some of the most amazing years of my life so far. In 2012 I followed my heart to Germany, where I lived in Karlsruhe, Berlin, and Hamburg. Then I returned to San Francisco for a total of12 years there. I now live in Mexico City and travel to California frequently!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It takes a certain kind of person to be willing to host or be hosted by a complete stranger. That openness, optimism, generosity, and sense of community is hard to find sometimes in today's world. I love meeting people and building community!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burning Man 2011/2012; living in Amman, Jordan; traveling throughout Middle East; quitting my job and moving to Europe; taking the plunge and going to law school.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you about the politics and law related to civil rights. I can teach you English or how to swim. I taught both at one point. I can also teach you to make some of my favorite recipes from my Mexican mamá.

I'd like to learn to fly a plane, scuba dive, snowboard, hand glide, sail, hang glide, and wind surf.
