About Me

Young woman known as Sandrine.
Fascinated by the world that surrounds her but especially its Nature, the human relations/behaviours and the fashion-street style. For more, refer to my interests down below.

When we meet the right people, they trigger the best in us. And the world in just a big mess of strangers waiting (or hoping) to meet alike mindsets to share good times, make memories and grow great friendships and this does not have boundaries. All it takes is courage to make it happen and a bit of patience then the magic occurs.

Other than that, I am full of energy, enjoy breaking my hips on the dance floor, making people laugh, advocating a positive/optimistic outlook on life, a relatively polite and respectful person who wouldn't mind breaking the rules if that brings some adventure. I'm known as the one who always turn the music on, as the one who set up parties and the casual indoor gatherings where you rest your ass in a cosy couch saucisson sec in a hand, a drink (even people having soft drinks are just fine, no worries) in the other one. I enjoy complicity: a high five, eyes contact, a smile. I enjoy deep talks, exchanging opinions and perspectives and personal experiences. Either learning new ways to perceive or allowing one to do so will be a positive outcome anyway.
I am just one in a few billion humans eager to experience the World, grateful for what I have and looking to become a better person by contributing at my level to make it a better place. Living a passionate life I will remember and can be proud of. Living a meaningful life. Inspiring people and getting inspired by sucking every bit of good in each of those crossing my path.

Update: able to take requests between 22nd Dec. and 4th Jan. (:

About hosting requests.
In such a big city, we receive a higher demand for hosting and I apologise if I take time to reply or don’t get the time to reply at all. Thank you for understanding.

Please jump to the section « My Place » and read (!) before sending me a request.
If your request seems like a copy/paste and obvious as non-customized, I won't bother messaging back as much as you did not bother writing a personal message for a real exchange.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a traveller, I would like to listen to locals and hear about their personal experience and point of views about their culture and the world then be able to share about the country's different ways of living, tradition and current situation to those who have never been there. And honestly, would love to make some local friends. Always.

As a local, helping foreign fellows to understand Paris and a page in the book of the French culture. Sharing tips, knowledge and good times in or outdoor.

Humanly, just seeking creative, fun and adventurous people. With an optimistic outlook on life and good intentions.

CS EXPERIENCE
Surfed in quite a few countries, hosted a bunch of times in Paris while the counter keeps slowly growing and met up with many-many other travel-fellows to guide them around my beloved hometown.
Recently travelled (2015) Korea where I've been greatly hosted by every kind, interesting and lovable locals eager to share and exchange personally and about their culture that I can not imagine my travel without staying around locals anymore. Surfing in Ireland and South Africa this year (2018) has brought me once again to unexpected places, situations and genuine heartwarming moments. It is each time as incredible to think that a perfect stranger opens their home and heart to you just as if you were an old friend.

Interests

Travelling obviously and all it includes.
Also writing, reading, fashion, photography, design, nature, society matters, human relations, history; testimonies, documentaries, entreprenarial universe and its dynamic, celebrating life (gathering events), mindfulness, minimalistic minds, food, the web as a tool for knowledge and connecting. People's personal experiences. Meaningful projects. People taking action for change. Collecting memories of simple yet cherishable moments. And strangers, connecting with strangers.

ADVENTURE - FREEDOM - FUN - CONNECT

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: one sure thing, I will never get bored of acoustic music.

Movies: the ones that challenge my emotions and leave me on a deep thought about the sense of life. Also the ones leaving me broken on the chair when I had good laughs.

Reading and else: mainly personal development, inspiring contents, travel and society podcasts. And super curious to hear about yours and what you have to say about it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finding joy and beauty in a routine. And putting myself in situations that make my life such a thrilling and intense adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

Definitely able to teach French! Also English up to intermediate levels. And how to make french crêpes, fresh spring rolls and instant noodles.

Share? Time together. Isn't the most valuable thing we possess? Life's way too short. We need to prioritize what deserves our time and drop behind what isn't worth our worry and effort.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A drink, a dinner, dive in chats, fun. And rewind.
And best cleaner in town if required when hosted.

And to finish..

"If I can't feel the thrill, it means I'm doing it wrong."

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Monaco, Netherlands, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, France, United States
