ABOUT ME

A 24-year-old French teacher, currently living in Paris - this is what is on the dotted lines.
Then, if I had to describe myself (and I also use outside echoes), I would say I am curious, enthusiast, scatterbrain, gourmand, playful, creative, independent, crazy but not dangerous.

I like meeting new people through CS activities.
I also like traveling and surfing when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered CS during my Erasmus year in London, and thanks to it I met such amazing people ! I made real friends and I also was able to surf when I needed it during my travels (England, Romania).

Interests

Listening to music, eating good food, reading, watching a movie, writing, going to an exhibition, a concert, a performance, cycling (no rise !), discovering a new place or coming back again and again to the same one, traveling, singing, dancing, walking the streets of a big town, enjoying the mess, meeting people, meeting friends, learning words from abroad, chatting, thinking about what is life and happiness and love and everything, wearing fancy dress, going out, being crazy, studying, swiming, daydreaming, chasing butterflies and killing cockroaches, celebrating life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies : among my favorite, there are Out of Africa, all Hayao Miyazaki's cartoons, Amadeus, Blade Runner, 8 Women, The King and the Mocking Bird, Metropolis, Breathless, My Life to live. I also enjoy a lot the work of Almodovar, Tarentino, Woody Allen, Coen brothers, Jean Cocteau, Truffaut, Kubrick, Klapish, Christophe Honoré, Jeunet, Wes Anderson, Jacques Demy, Tim Burton...

Music : mmmh really too many things ^^ basically I like all types of music, from classic to rap, from jazz to rock ! It can be French, English, Italian, Indian, African... I'm open to everything, especially if it is live-music.

Books : I like the French classics : Flaubert, Proust, Diderot, Laclos (Les Liaisons dangereuses), Rostand (Cyrano), Baudelaire, Camus (L'Etranger)... but I also love youth literature and fantasy literature (tales, Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, His Dark Materials, etc). The genre I prefer is definitely novel : The Leopard (Lampedusa), Lolita (Nabokov), The Lover (Duras), For Whom the Bell Tolls (Hemingway)... and of course all the books of Milan Kundera, who is probably one of my favorite authors ! I also enjoy aliens, unclassifiable stuffs such as The Petersburd stories (Gogol) or Thus Spoke Zarathustra (Nietzsche). Oh, and right now I've discovered a new author, Patrick Chamoiseau who is from Martinique: it's a real pleasure to read his novels !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flying - well, paragliding.
Travelling in Jordan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka.
Living 1 year in London.
Spending 42 hours (!!!) in a bus.
Visiting the moon (not done yet, I admit, but it is planned).

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have many knowledges... I speak French of course and I can teach you if you're interested. Me I'm always ready to learn a new language !
I like trying food, I have some recipes that I can share.
Or we can just speak for hours :) I'm interested by literature, philosophy, art, language, history... culture in general, and many other things.
