About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn what this awe inspiring world has to offer.

ABOUT ME

I'm a city boy who's heart is in the mountains. Grew up on the water, paddle in hand, rucksack on my back, grass under my feet. In high school I feel in love with the underground music scene in Providence RI with all the noise/experimental and punk groups. That started the worst addiction I can imagine: that of music. Performing, touring, writing, listening (and I mean REALLY listening), seeing, recording, dancing, singing, screaming, and living music. I went to school for recording and earned a Bachleors in Music for Sound Recording Technology. Hence the move to NYC to try to start working in the industry. Now I find myself learning programming languages like MAX/MSP, Puredata, C++, and circuit theory o build interfaces for computer music as well as modular synths.
I am the kind of guy who might not have a chance to clean up my place for a few days, then in a fury, clean everything to the t. I can't live in a mess and my place must inspire me to create. Hopefully it will inspire you too!

PHILOSOPHY

No matter what you do someone will love you for it and someone will hate you so you might as well enjoy yourself and do what you truly love.

Also, never call it the wrong train. Because no matter what, that train will take you somewhere. It's up to you to make that into a story. So hop on the next one that comes by, into the first empty boxcar, and watch the best movie ever: life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a part of the CS Project for many years now. I have hosted a great number of amazing people and have wonderful stories to tell. In the very near future I will be touring and hopefully using CS as a place to find some great communities!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met a ton of great people for drinks and food, as well as hosting a few people who have become close friends.

Interests

Playing drums, keyboard, various other instruments, as well as electronics in a hiphop/jazz/dance music setting. Reading fantastic poetry of hope, stories of adventures, and the inner thoughts of writers. Brewing beer, drinking coffee, sipping on tea. I LOVE talking the sun up and staring into the night sky with wonderful people. Biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, skateboarding, hiking, skinny dipping in the RI Bay (or anywhere else), laughing, eatting, cooking, dancing in the rain, and living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rough Shesh IV. Costumed Pillow Fight. Streets of Providence, RI. Over 400 kids taking control of Providence for a night. Anything, absolutely ANYTHING, is possible. So do it, and make yourself proud.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to brew beer. Cook some great veggie/vegan food. A lot of stuff about music, from general theory, to playing drums, the electronic aspect of performance, recording, and listening. I can teach you how to roll a cigarette, dance like no one is watching, and scream till you're coughing up blood. And that feeling you get as you watch everyone around you start to wake up and go to work as the sun rises over friendship.
