About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to discover the country I live in and to meet with new people who will hopefully become new friends!
ABOUT ME
I'm 34 and looking to make my 35th year memorable! I tend to be quiet and shy at home with singular hobbies and interests and I'm looking for a chance to get out there and see more of what life has to offer. I used to travel extensively for work in my 20s and loved it and now I have a chance to do so again with lots of time on my hands. I want to take this chance to visit all the places in the US that I never got to go before I have to settle down and get another job.
PHILOSOPHY
I feel that everyone has a right to their own philosophy. I tend to be a water sort of person... go with the flow. I can usually argue for any side and tend to take up for the underdog.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently I am only looking for hospitable people who don't mind showing me a few things around where they live or point out places to see. I live in a house with two other people so I am unfortunately not able to offer a couch myself. That may change though if I can report back to them about good experiences on my trip! =^.^=
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't started yet... hope to have a full two months of experiences soon!
Interests
I'm interested in people and places... how journeys can start in one place and end in another. It's my main focus on this trip.... although discussing good books to read on long bus rides will no doubt be essential! My more mundane everyday interests include the usual assortment of geek and sundry.
- books
- traveling
- scuba diving
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a manta ray dive once off the coast of the Big Island in Hawai'i. The majesty of the creatures as I sat below them was pretty breath-taking.
It was a night dive so with just the light beams of diving flashlights and the sounds of the ocean in my ears, it was pretty ethereal.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I could teach others about computers... although in this day and age, that knowledge is fast becoming not as rare anymore. I can build one from the ground up which is a little more specific though. I do have some small electrical skill and have a knowledge of scuba diving which I enjoy.
