Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPAtE IN COUCHSURFING
I am looking to find people doing a road trip, because I had to leave my dog in agua prieta Sonora, on the Arizona border, because I had no way to bring him 5 hours to the closest airport, no money to ship him cargo, and nobody help get us home together, meanwhile the city of Douglas animal protection, takes away dogs, slams their tails in the door, leaves 15+ dogs alone and unattended in there puddle of urine and feces every weekend from 4:00 p.m. when they close on Friday all the way until Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. they had little kittens that were like days old should be getting bottle fed outside in the cage hurt scabs all over their eyes and lo and behold the next time I came in they were gone the water in their cage was disgusting the kittens were crying out and my dog has scabs open wounds in his underarms his tail was bloody his feet were messed up he was taking away twice to that place and I made a decision to leave him with a friend in Mexican side because also behind the animal shelter in Douglas where about 4 big old freezers full of the dead bodies of dogs that didn't make it out of there mind you is always closed and it's always locked even when the hours are supposed to be open and the police department is so Police department is so intrusive and oppressive,, that shelter is always full with beautiful dogs, with noone there to care for them, walk them, clean up there kennels, or supervise them, staff specializing in getting them return to their owners are rehoming is non existent, I don't want my dog ever to lose his life for nothing for being a dog, in such a remote area there's no rental car companies there's nothing in order to bring him home with me so now that I'm home I can either convince someone on a road trip to come and pick him up on the way and bring him or just go back over there and pick him up myself either way I don't want to go back down there by myself and I don't know if I'm well equipped enough to avoid getting stuck down there for months as what just happened to me but regardless I want my dog back home with me ASAP so that's my goal that's why I paid for access to my couchsurfing account I haven't been on here in years so basically probably going to head back down as soon as I get my taxes or something and who knows why I might get stuck over there on my choose to stay if something good happens on the way therefore my house in the Bronx needs to be taken care of or rented or something or sublet it maybe that's another reason why I'm on coochsurfing.
Now one thing about couchsurfing there used to be some kind of like code where no matter what, when you're hosting people you can't really expect your guests to pay or charge them any money. Basically asking for money was supposed to be like prohibited, well now although we are supposed to host or be guests in people's homes without asking for money yet couchsurfing now obliges you to pay them or withhold access to your messages and your account all together which I find very uncouchsurferly, let's just go crazy and break all the rules !#$@!
Hosting, I give you a good orientation with maps, give you a place to stay, where you can come and go, safe for u and ur stuff. When I have time I can spend time with travelers , sometimes I surf. Also help people find apartments.

Love the energy that first time tourists to New York City bring! Most people go out, do whatever they want, their stuff is safe, they have my number in case of any emergency, or simply need directions or whatever they can call me. When they return to my home from the city they bring an incredible amount of positive energy and gratitude, even the roaches and filth don't never seem to bother them.

Only Surfed once, in Montreal Quebec 2013 saved money, and saw city like a local, the way our host zoomed around the underground city like a pro, I was amazed how much stuff u was actually down there! I host mostly. Have hosted like 12 people, NO AMERICANS, OR LOCAL PEOPLE, THIS AINT A SHELTER.

Teach, Learn, Share

How to be a good host AND true to your word, HONOR YOUR COMMITMENTS, Be respectful of others time! My house is disgusting, I get sick Everytime I clean it. I hate.to spend 24 hours cleaning only to have someone come in and scrutinize my place, I have seen worse. I LOVE HOSTING PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE GIFT OF BEING ABLE TO CLEAN A HOUSE, SOME PEOPLE CAN DO IN A COUPLE HOURS WHAT TAKES ME DAYS, ALWAYS APPRECIATE SOMEONE WHO DOES DISHES, AND OFFERS TO TAKE THE GARBAGE OUT ON THE WAY OUT.

OTHER WORDS, ITS NOT ALL THAT, TRY TO PITCH IN AND DONT COMPLAIN. THE OWNERSHIP IS LETTING THE BUILDING DEPRECIATE RAPIDLY, THEY ARE UNSCRUPULOUS BAD ACTORS WHO MAKE IT TO NYC'S 10 WORST LANDLORD LIST 2020,

BUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS AWESOME AND IS EXPERIENCING RAPID RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT.
