About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live each and every day to its absolute fulfillment.

ABOUT ME

Don't let my age scare you off. I am officially old: into my 72nd "go 'round on the cosmic rotisserie." I have a history of mistaken causes and hopeless political actions. I haven't learned from that: Nixon was the worst possible scenario (before George W came along). Democrats have demonstrated to be no better. But there is hope and I am all for that.
I cook but nothing more than the basics fit my pallet. I write two blogs: one personal, one community. Both are not widely read.

PHILOSOPHY

When in doubt, consult the I Ching. It will tell you what you already know, but not able to bring to mind. That's important for folks my age (especially) and everybody generally.

Getting into deeper than that involves too much...about stuff that will probably remain eternally unknown. If its not in my life, its not in my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wake up in the morning and take that as a good sign. As I am retired, I make routine events as epic as possible. I don't watch too much TV; takes away from my Internet addictions. Where I see an opportunity to help, I sometimes actually do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Lots of guests coming an going...no complaints so far.

Interests

Digital still and motion photography.
And a lot of other things: carpentry, fine art, architecture, engineering, baseball, football, watching and making movies, but not in that order necessarily.
I am in process of building a Bruning Man art car designed to accommodate those with physical challenges (mostly for Burning Man but for other stuff, too). The Babe sits in my front yard.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like most musical forms; but rap is shit. Best movie seen this year: Immortal, sci-fi surrealism. Best Book: The Martian by Andy Weir. That ought to tell you just about all you need to know about me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been a hippies since before the word was coined.
Jimi Hendrix played at my Senior Prom.
I was in the Watergate building the morning of the break-in; nearly arrested as a suspected "plumber."
With Wayne Hanson, started the Boston Avatar, a now nearly forgotten (but once influential) underground newspaper of the early 1970's.

Teach, Learn, Share

Getting old is not at all what you expect it to be.

What I Can Share with Hosts
