About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living is life's biggest adventure

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Julia. I may seem a bit shy at first but ask me about anything nerdy and I won't stop talking. But I'm also a good listener. I love learning new things and meeting people who have interesting stories to tell.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe diem. Even if it sounds cheesy. I truly believe that's up to oneself to make the best of any situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I still live at home, so unfortunately it's difficult to host someone at the moment.

Interests

In my spare time I love to write and have already published a novel. Apart from literature, I sing in a choir and I am obviously very interested in traveling. I also enjoy meeting with my nerdy friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

That's one of the hardest question for any nerd. There are just too many books and films I enjoy. Also, I don't like to restrict myself to genres. If a book or film is good I'll like it, regardless of its genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One moment would be when I got the mail that my book would be published, along with the moment when I held the first physical copy of my book in my hands.
I think for every travel there is such an amazing moment, for example, if you spend days in San Francisco and didn't even see a hint of red, then as you drive to the airport and pass the bridge the veil of fog suddenly lifts and you for a minute you get to see the bridge in its entire beauty. There are so many great moments I have experienced, while traveling, way too much to list them all here.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a native speaker of Austrian German, I'm happy to help anyone practise or teach them typically Austrian phrases.
As an experienced writer, I could also give writing advice.

Countries I’ve Visited

Slovakia, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria
