ABOUT ME

I'm a 25 year old graphic designer from Ireland. I'm easy to get on with and enjoy meeting new people.

I love exploring different cities, and immersing myself in their history and culture.

Nearly every facet of modern day life is planned and calculated. When I travel, I enjoy getting lost. I enjoy wandering around aimlessly and stumbling from one thing to the next.

PHILOSOPHY

my philosophy changes from year to year I find. I suppose you could attribute that to whatever philosophy I actually have. I don't know if there's a name or a concrete way to describe it, but I know what's central to my way of thinking is to remain humble and open minded. I try to expose myself to as many things, people and experiences as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm relatively new to couchsurfing. I might only take a holiday once or twice a year. If even that. I love the whole ethos of the site though. I have a trip coming up and will be scouring the city for wifi so I can find out when the next social events are on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing in Rome was great. Far exceeded my expectations in fact. Each person I met from CS was different and unique. It really gave me an itch to do it again.

The idea of dropping yourself in another country for a couple of weeks and coming out the other side with new connections from different countries around the globe is something special that can only be found on a site like this.

Everyone seems to share a similar mindset too. I only wish there were more opportunities to have a CS holiday.

Interests

I love design. I love computers and technology. I went and combined them into a career Best decision I've ever made.

Over the last year, I've gotten into fitness in a big way. Not an overly obsessive amount. Maybe 3 times a week coupled with healthy eating, some running and a spot of wall climbing (still new at that, so I look like a clumsy lump on the wall)

When I go back home I enjoy a round of golf. More for the social aspect of it though. It's great to get out for an hour or four with family and friends and just harass each other over terrible hand-eye co-ordination.

I couldn't live without music. I'v e always got a set of plugs in my ears.

Then there's the generic stuff that I assume most people like doing. Spending time with friends. Going out for dinner. Throw in the odd club and cocktail. It all really depends on the mood.
