ABOUT ME

Twenty-one year old aspiring writer/journalist. I currently work in a shop as my day job, but I am also a co-owner of a fashion/art/culture magazine based out of New York where I am a contributing writer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still new to CS, but have already had great experiences with it. So far I have only been a surfer. Traveling is something extremely important to me; meeting new people, experiencing and learning from different cultures, and escaping the quotidian of the 'day to day'.

Interests

I like to spend my free time writing, whether it be short stories, poems, or a single sentence that sounds good in my mind. I also enjoy reading (although finding the time to do so can be rather difficult) and drawing (sometimes a sketch, other times an elaborate piece). Music is also very important to me—a song can put you in a very inspirational state; make you happy or sad (or both simultaneously); and take you to a place and time long forgotten. I enjoy all forms of art (painting, photography, fashion), including work by Egon Schiele, Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres (my favourite painting ever: La Grande Odalisque), René Magritte, Francis Bacon, Gonzalo Bénard, and Raf Simons.
