About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See as much of the world as possible before 30

ABOUT ME

My friends would probably say that I'm probably your average guy. I try to be as open as possible to everything that comes my way, and treat people with the same warmth and kindness that I would like to experience from a stranger. The best thing that one can look forward to is meeting interesting people and experiencing what the world has to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.- Bruce Lee
If it worked for him, I suppose its good enough for me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Teaching, building community, making a more trustworthy world

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No official couch surfing experience, but I've stayed on quite a few friends couches over the years!

Interests

Being outside and eating are the two things that I love most. Which works great living in Ausitn, since food trucks abound here! If I am Achilles, then food is my ankle. The TV can be showing a food show, while I'm making dinner, and talking about some of the best restaurants in town. Food is never a worn out topic for me, but the spice of life that adds flare to the every day. Most of my time is spent on a bike, since I feel more at home there than anywhere else. Mountain, track, road- I love exploring and getting around on a bike. Plus bike communities are always so much fun, with lots of interests and opinions.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fight Club, anything by Guy Ritchie, Coen Brothers, of course classcs like Singing in the Rain and Casablanca. Anything with Paul Newman or Clint Eastwood.

Austin is the live music capitol of the world, so we are a wash in everything. Old crow medicine show, ben howard, modest mouse, my morning jacket, the J.B's, Chopin, Zeale, Kid Cudi, whatever

Most stuff by Neil Strauss, Steinbeck, Alfonso Becquer, Daniel Gilbert. Blink, Tipping Point, Outliers. Socrates, Plato, Democritus. Anything with a good idea and wonderful way for conveying it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sky at glacier point in Yosemite, crystal clear night and a calming chill in the air.
Massing a 300+ rider group and flowing through the streets of Austin on a Thursday night.

Teach, Learn, Share

Pretty good knowledge of nutrition, biotech, bikes, and cooking.
