Interests

Curious about people and places. Love the history of a place. Enjoy community events and the remarkable talents of neighbors and friends. Love to be in nature, especially with friends. When I make the time - watercolor painting. Otherwise I am hard at work building a grassroots effort that strengthens the resilience of a place, knits community together and bolsters local enterprise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived on an Indian Reserve in northwestern British Columbia Canada. Learned to hunt, wield a chain saw and survive in -60F degree winter weeks. Living there was life changing. From there it was service work for me. Taught juvenile delinquents (they were awesome!)in Victoria Canada, started a mega tent city (big 200 person tents)in Los Angeles over the inclement winter months (yes there are inclement wet and cold winter months in S. California) which culminated in new permanent shelters. Worked with Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity in San Francisco and Mexico. All profound and heart-opening experiences.
