Laidback British guy, back living in Sussex after a couple years living the dream in Whistler BC. Beforehand I was living in Manchester, UK for 5 years, which is where I studied politics at uni.

Travel has been a passion of mine for several years and so couchsurfing has helped play a big part in meeting people around the world.

My big interests otherwise are football (Liverpool fan), skiing, cycling, photography, and cooking. I’d like to think I’m very sociable and good company, and enjoy going for a couple of beers with friends. I love to get outside and explore above all too!

I love a good intellectual conversation as much as a fun night out; daytime coffee addict too. Really into music of all types and treating every day as an opportunity to learn something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whilst travelling I love to meet new people - both locals and travellers. Particularly as I’ve gotten older I’ve wanted to make a more concerted effort to mix in with the locals to get a more rounded cultural experience; what better way to do that than couchsurfing?! Doesn't necessarily have to be as a guest, would love to meet people in the city too! Coffee?

When home and settled, I would also be interested in hosting too

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

summer 2017 I cycled from London to Paris in aid of Breast Cancer Now, raising over £1.1k in the process! It kickstarted a positive period of wellness for myself where I’ve now shifted over 30kg in weight!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been told I carry a wealth of knowledge when meeting new people, but it's because I have spoken to and met plenty of people and paid attention. Likewise I read the news - read the news people! Having an interest in the world is something that allows me to have topical discussions. Politics can be rather interesting you may find!

I want to learn from others how they lead their lives as such similarities between people can come from such different backgrounds. Something I want to be able to do is improve my Spanish, learn other languages too. I always feel like I have the easy option being a native English speaker because everybody else is often on their second, third, maybe fourth language when talking to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’ve been lucky to travel a lot in the past 6 years and so have a wealth of stories to share. Coming from the UK, I can also provide an insight into life over there. I’d like to think I’m good company and fun to be around, and would love to get to know people around the world better.
