ABOUT ME
I'm not one for making plans too far in advance, and I am always up for adventure when it presents itself. I find most situations in life can be resolved with a bit of good humor and the right perspective.
PHILOSOPHY
“You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'”
-George Bernard Shaw
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, there is a couch in my flat.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
New to couch surfing. A very good friend suggested I sign up, so here I am. Let the adventure begin!
Interests
This is an ever evolving list. I play a variety of musical instruments (some very, very badly), I enjoy running long distances for no good reason, sometimes I go for bike rides. Reading all sorts of books is enjoyable when I have the time. Oh, and in the winter I like to ski...a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is also an ever changing list. Some things that I always go back to are Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, David Bowie, Johnny Cash, The Specials, old NOFX, and the Pixies. Lately I've been listening to Timber Timbre, Darwin Deez, The Books, The Octopus Project, James Blake, and Shugo Tokumaru. So much more I could list. I listen to a bit of nearly everything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent last Christmas skiing in Sölden, Austria. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and there was deep, fluffy snow everywhere. The contrast between the purest white snow covered mountains and the amazingly vibrant blue sky was breathtaking. I stowed my gear and hiked up to a perch in the middle of nowhere and sat there for at least an hour soaking it all in. Sometimes I tend to forget, but in that moment I was reminded of just how wonderful it is to be alive! =)
