For a Dutchie, I am very short. :) But as they say in Italy; botte piccola fa buon vino (the small barrel preserves the best wine). ;) I consider myself to be a patient, adventurous and optimistic person.

I would describe myself as a socially engaged person (I volunteered at a homeless shelter in my hometown before and now I volunteer for an environmental organisation). I am very interested in politics and international development and travel a lot to pursue this interest. In this I try to live according to this quote: "It doesn't matter whether you've stood with the great. It matters whether you've sat with the broken."

I am generally a bit nerdy in the sense that I liked studying, I like discussing and have a broad set of interests. I am also very interested in learning new languages so we can always try to speak another language than English. ;-)

I'm photographer as hobby and have a great passion for dancing.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

At the moment I live in Ghent (Belgium), but I have multiple places in the world which feel like 'home' to me. Last year finished my studies in Global Studies for which I lived in Cape Town, Delhi and Freiburg. During my studies I learned to speak a bit of Hindi as in total I spent almost 2 years in Delhi. The reason that I am on Couchsurfing is because I wish to continue to live life like this and to keep meeting people from different places.
